One of the many ways I found to keep to a more conversational tone is to write to one person. It helps me to write in my voice and relate the information like I would tell a friend about something. Speaking the words first before writing them, paying attention to sentence length and the tone I use.


Written conversational language can be quite different in that questions are normally not single words. Normally, a few words need to be added to make the question clear, unless it follows a clearly understood statement.
